Algeria team: which next opponent for the Greens in a friendly?

The international window should not be limited to the two confrontations against Uganda and Tanzania for the Algerian selection. Showing a desire to face a selection of world caliber, the Algerian football federation would work to satisfy the request of the Algerian coach, Djamel Belmadi.

Indeed, the Algerian media relay information according to which the FAF would be in the phase of negotiations with its Iranian counterpart for a possible friendly match between the two selections following the request of the latter.

Information confirmed by the spokesperson for the Algerian Football Federation, Salah Bey-Aboud, “Indeed, an agreement exists between the two federations for a friendly match on June 12, the Algerian Football Federation should not delay in communicating on this subject,” he said on Algerian radio.

Qualified for the next World Cup in Qatar, the Iranian team wants to familiarize itself with the place by organizing its friendly matches on the grounds of the next World Cup. According to the same sources, the selection coached by the Croatian technician, Dragan Skočić, already has two friendly matches in its schedule.

These two meetings took on the colors of the African continent since the Iran team will face the team from the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Cameroon team. In line with these two matches, the Iranian selection should not count down for its possible meeting with the Algerian selection and will therefore remain in Doha.

The latter will host the next training camp for the Algerian team scheduled for June 9, the day after the second qualifying day against Tanzania, which makes the track of the friendly against Iran plausible.

A meeting that hides another?

The Algerian team is preparing to enter the competition in the playoffs for the next African Cup of Nations scheduled for Ivorian lands. Algerian coach Djamel Belmadi’s men will host the Ugandan side for their big comeback after the Blida debacle.

The Algerian federation opted for the Olympic stadium of July 5, 1962 in Algiers to turn the page on Tchaker. A page that coach Belmadi will be keen to make people forget by signing a good performance against the opponent on Saturday.

Note that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched the platform called “tadkirati” for the electronic sale of access tickets for the next match of the Greens.
