Baghdad Bounedjah seems more than ever close to trying a new experience in Saudi Arabia. The Al-Nasr club is preparing its plan to offer the Algerian international striker who should leave Al-Sadd during the next transfer period.
Baghdad Bounedjah experienced a very difficult situation with Al-Sadd at the end of the Qatari championship. And for good reason, he found himself outside the plans of his trainer Javi Garcia because of the slump he went through, in particular following his dismissal from the last internship of the national selection punctuated by the double confrontation against Cameroon, as part of the play-offs for the qualification for the next World Cup in Qatar.
Not being satisfied with his situation with Al-Sadd, especially if the Spanish technician stays at the club for another season, the 31-year-old Algerian international striker could change his tune to bounce back. But he will have to negotiate his departure with the officials of his club, with which he is under contract for two more seasons, i.e. until 2024. Currently in Oran where he is recharging his batteries with his family, he is enjoying his holidays, before return to Qatar to plan for its future.
In addition to Özil, Al-Nasr Saoudi covets Bounedjah
Baghdad Bounedjah has no shortage of offers. Admittedly, he hasn’t scored in recent games, but he remains a safe bet and is capable of regaining his best level. The most serious track is the one leading to the Saudi club Al-Nasr.
We have already mentioned touches between the two parties a few weeks ago, but, obviously, the track of Al-Nasr is now becoming very serious for the Algerian striker. According to the specialized site “Saoudi Sports”, the officials of the club in question have put Bounedjah as one of the priorities during the next summer transfer window, along with the German striker Mesut Özil and the Egyptian Mahmoud Hassen, better known as name of “Trezeguet”.
Three attackers that the Saudis of Al-Nasr intend to put the package to engage them from the next transfer period in order to strengthen the offensive compartment of the team in anticipation of the next exercise. The same Saudi site also reports that Bounedjah is best suited to compensate for the possible departure of Cameroonian Vincent Aboubakar, who should leave the club for Europe next summer.
And if Baghdad Bounedjah will evolve in the same team with the German star ÖZIL? A possibility that cannot be ruled out. Note that the Oranais has already evolved with the Spanish star and current FC Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernandez, at Al-Sadd a few seasons ago.
