An Egyptian institute reveals the date of Eid al-Fitr 2022

The holy month of Ramadan this year is entering its last 10 days and the same question arises, the date of Aid El Fitr, which will mark the end of this holy month. It is in this sense that astronomy institutes and theological authorities have already revealed the date of the end of the sacred month by fixing the lunar calendar on the basis of astronomical calculations.

According to the Egyptian Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, it has been revealed that the last day of Ramadan 2022 will be the 1er May 2022. Therefore, the date of Aid El Fitr will be for the day after, May 2, 2022.

The head of the Egyptian Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, Jad El-Qadi, said that astronomical calculations made by the institute revealed that the beginning of the month of Shawwal 1443 AH will correspond to Monday, May 2, 2022.

And according to what was specified in a press release from the institute, the conjunction of the new moon will take place on Saturday evening, Ramadan 29/April 30, at 10:28 p.m. Cairo time (9:28 p.m. Algerian time).

The Egyptian Institute stressed that the new crescent will therefore not be visible during the evening of Saturday April 30, 2022, in Cairo, but also in all the capitals and Islamic cities of the world, including in Algeria.

Thus, Sunday May 1, 2022 will mark the end of the month of Ramadan 2022. The first day of the month of Chawal will be Monday May 2, confirms the same source.
