Covid-19 in Algeria: the toll of contaminations down on May 7

Like many other countries in the world, Algeria was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020. Since then, our country has recorded a total balance sheet amounting to 265,794 contaminations, 6,875 deaths and 178,362 recoveries. In recent weeks, the number of daily contaminations has dropped remarkably, but vigilance and the rigorous application of barrier gestures are essential.

The Coronavirus report, communicated by the services of the Ministry of Health this Saturday, May 7, reported 3 new contaminations with Covid-19, identified during the past 24 hours, against 5 cases of contamination identified yesterday and 4 cases the day before yesterday. Thus, daily contaminations have started to fall again and remain below the bar of ten cases per day.

Regarding healings, the department of Minister Abderrahmane Benbouzid revealed that the balance sheet for this Saturday has only one new case of healing against two cases of healing reported yesterday. On the side of deaths, the news remains reassuring and encouraging, because just like yesterday, no new victims have been brought following complications related to Covid-19 and only one patient is currently in intensive care, according to the latest figures. communicated by the Ministry of Health.
