Youcef Belaïli gave an interview to the French regional daily newspaper of Brittany “Le Télégramme”. He talks about his future and his life in Brest. It is also aimed at Algerian supporters.
The Algerian international striker talks about his new life in Brest. He says he is starting to adapt in Brittany but also within the Stade Brestois training. “After a difficult start, I adapted well to my life in Brest but also within my team. The current goes well between me and my teammates as well as the technical staff. The supporters like me a lot and that has made my adaptation a lot easier, which has had a positive impact on my level,” he said straight away.
He then talks about his future. He says he is ambitious to stay in the French Ligue 1, without revealing the club that he will wear his jersey. “In all modesty, I have the qualities to play in Ligue 1. I will stay there for another season, inchallah. I aim to score several goals and deliver assists next season. The journalist who interviewed him asked him if it will be with Stade Brestois, the player will answer with a smile: “Inchalah, why not”.
Remember that Youcef’s father, Hafid Belaïli who is his agent at the same time, yesterday revealed the names of the Ligue 1 clubs Uber Eats who covets his son, in this case OGC Nice, LOSC Lille and FC Toulouse. Between staying at Stade Brestois or leaving, the Oranais, who will be free of any commitment next month, has not yet decided. But one thing is certain, he will remain in the French Ligue 1.
His message for Algerian supporters
Youcef Belaïli is one of the players of the national team who were very affected by the elimination of the next World Cup. During his interview, he returns to the disillusionment of March 29 against Cameroon.
“We would have liked so much to qualify for the next World Cup and make our people happy. Alas, we failed. Our disappointment was so great that it is difficult to overcome it, ”he regrets.
He addresses the Algerian supporters, where he promises them to rectify the shooting during the next deadlines. “We will do our best to qualify for the next African Cup. We will continue to work to take part in the 2026 World Cup. Important deadlines await us where we will do everything to bring joy to our supporters, ”he concluded.
