According to the Algerian press agency (APS), quoted by the organizing committee, Italy will be the most represented. The latter will have a delegation of 565 people (athletes and officials) out of 5,156 participants (including officials).
As for Algeria (host country), it comes in second place with 522 individuals, including 193 male athletes and 136 female athletes. They are followed by: France (496); Turkey (460); Spain (408); Egypt (294); Tunisia (263); Greece (252); Serbia (244); Portugal (237); Morocco (220); Slovenia (198); Cyprus (174); Croatia (172); North Macedonia (109), Bosnia and Herzegovina (79); Albania (81); Kosovo (69); Lebanon (65); Montenegro (49); Syria (49); Malta (43); San Marino (36); Monaco (30); Libya (25); Andorra (16).
What other disciplines will be added to the 24 initials?
In addition to the 24 athletes associated with the games, the Organizing Committee of the Mediterranean Games of Oranin coordination with the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games, has included three other sports in the general program of the event: chess, athletics for people with reduced mobility (100 meters for the blind, 1500 meters / T45, 46 and drive) and Tech Bull.
According to the same source, the competition committee is keen to finalize the competition program before its official publication.
However, a draw is scheduled for Monday, May 30, for five team sports (football, volleyball, handball, basketball and water polo). The latter will be broadcast live on national and private channels in the presence of representatives of participating countries and some well-known athletes.

Finally, from June 25 to July 5, 2022, there will be an exhibition on prehistory and anthropology in Algeria. The latter will be organized at the Ahmed-Zabana National Public Museum in Oran.
