Met Gala 2022: a first, a Franco-Algerian marks her presence

On the occasion of this 2022 edition of the Met Gala, celebrities were legion: from Blake Lively to Ryan Reynolds via Kate Moss, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian as well as Pete Davidson, or even Emma Stone… And among these last , a Franco-Algerian influencer also had the honor of climbing the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York: Lena Mahfouf alias Lena Situations. This 24-year-old young woman has thus become the first Franco-Algerian influencer to walk the famous red carpet.

Monday, May 2, 2022, Lena Situations, star of influencers in France, was spotted on the red carpet of the Met Gala in New York, a real annual charity and fundraising dinner set up in particular by the popess of fashion Anna Wintour. Indeed, on her Instagram account where 3.6 million followers follow her adventures, the influencer in question had not failed to share her excitement and her coming to the prestigious evening.

The young woman with Algerian origins, while collaborating with famous brands including Dior, landed adorned with her flowery dress composed of a corset, which she had matched with a tiara in her hair. She was invited through YouTube, a platform on which she is followed by more than two million users and where the Met Gala red carpet was broadcast live.

Lena Mahfouf, a young star with Algerian origins

Originally from Algeria and daughter of actor and illustrator Karim Mahfouf, Léna Situations, whose real name is Léna Mahfouf, is one of the Franco-Algerian influencers and was born in Paris on November 19, 1997. She notably created in 2012 her blog, still a high school student. She delivers her beauty and fashion advice and her little good addresses. She then successively created her accounts on Instagram and Twitter in 2013.

During the year 2017, the young woman launched her channel on YouTube, which then achieved some success and allowed her to embark on a career as an influencer. She posts hundreds of videos that have been viewed millions of times. In addition, Léna Situations regularly collaborates with other influencers such as Sundy, Bilal Hassani or even Jules and Sulivan Gwen. She won the title of French pop-culture influencer for the year 2019. This prize was awarded to her at the People’s Choice Awards.

The young influencer continues to shine. First, she is launching a clothing collection in the fall of 2020 in collaboration with the Jennyfer brand, Lena Situations x DCMJ This is the second collaboration between the youtuber and this brand. In September 2020, she created the event in the publishing world. She publishes a book of advice for her young audience, titled Always more. Sales of copies exceeded all expectations. From the second week of October, his book is ranked number one in terms of sales in France.
