Elected at the meeting held on June 16, 2022, the electoral commission published a press release on the FAF website detailing the charter for the candidacy for the coveted position. Thus, the lucky one elected for the supreme seat of the Dely-Brahim authority must: be of Algerian nationality and be at least 30 years old.
The candidate for the position of President of the FAF must also enjoy his civil and civic rights, be a member of the general assembly, not have been the subject of a serious sporting sanction as provided for by the statutes and regulations. of the FAF and/or a disciplinary measure pronounced in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
The press release requires that the candidate not have been the subject of an infamous sentence, be up to date with their contributions to the FAF, have a level of training justified, either by university titles, either by exercising a function of higher responsibility within the public or private sector, having exercised responsibilities in football sports institutions or associations for at least five (05) consecutive years.
Charaf-Eddine Amara’s successor at the head of the Algerian football federation must undertake to comply with the statutes and regulations of the federation, respect the status of elected volunteer sports leaders and finally reside permanently in Algeria as specified in the press release published on the website of the Algerian Football Federation.
An election is necessary to rectify the situation of the FAF
After the filing and adoption of the moral and financial report of the outgoing president, Charaf-Eddine Amara, the recovery of the economic situation of the FAF will be the priority of the next president of the Algerian sports body.
